Ah Boys to Men

Hey yo what's up!

After so many years, I finally get myself back to blogger. *Phew*
Thanks to Tosh. I got the feel to blog recently! I have also just created a twitter account especially for Tosh. (@onlyfortosh). I'll try to tweet as much as I know about him or to him and I think it's time for Tosh's fans to get together and support him and show him da love! Not exactly works like a fanclub bit it's just an account whereby we can all express the love to him and also to share the intoshicator love!

Ok, first thing first. Lemme share about how all these ''Tosh rock'' thingy happened to me and the impact that he has actually brought into my life lately. It all started from the latest local movie called Ah Boys to Men.

I have to say that, I am not a movie kinda person. Yes, I hardly visit the cinema tbh. Perhaps, I would say it's rare to see my in the cinema. For the people who actually knows me irl, they should know that I only like cartoon, horror, humor movie. Local Jack Neo films, um yes. So don't have to be surprised that I actually watched Ah Boys to Men. Amazing, this is the first movie I watch this year, as in really watched it in the threatre!

Last week on the 14th Nov 2012 (Wednesday), I went to Kbox as early as 11am with Mary and then we managed to catch Ah Boys to Men in time at Jcube Shaws! Unfortunately, we were only left with 5 singles seats (like..omg what the fuck?!) when we reached there! I almost cried. I really want to watch the movie and I can't wait any longer. So we took the single seats and watched the movie without much hestitation, haha.

There goes my life, with Tosh starring in the movie as a Platoon Sergeant, Alex Ong (Oh my fucking gorgeous!). He totally attracted me and took over my emotions since then. I feel that he is really charismatic and suave! From that moment, I decided to support him as long as I could :-)

Handsome right? Haha ok serious business, I think he really acted well in the movie. Perhaps it is also because he was a Sergeant back in his army days? Whatever it is, I think that every Singaporean should at least watch it once. Trust me, you're gonna like it. :-) To me, it is not merely a movie. I actually made me think about the peaceful life in Singapore and why we shouldn't always take things for granted. Well, I have learnt a lot from this movie. Go watch it and you'll understand why, hehe.

There is war within ourselves too. We are our own enemies. If we cannot even fight the war within us, how are we gonna fight the real enemies? It is not about what we are fighting, it is about what we are fighting for..

Another thing, I am very proud of Tosh is that the theme song for Ah Boys to Men was written, composed and sang by him. Ok to be precise, he is the lead singer. Pretty much talented. You probably cannot imagine how hooked to the song I am right now. I'm picking up the rap slowing as well. :-) If you haven't listen to it yet, please do.

The title of this song is called ''Recruit's Anthem''.
Here's the dopest lyrics:

From Ah Boys To Men, serving two years
For our nation, our country
With blood, sweat and tears
We'll be, marching on with pride and glory
Because we love our land and want it to be free
STEADY LA~!

From Ah Boys To Men, serving two years
For our nation, our country
With blood, sweat and tears
We'll be, marching on with pride and glory
From BMT to POP to ORD
ORD LO~!

As a boy in Singapore, you gotta do your thing
Step up and serve the country, gotta do your thing
5BX, every morning has become a routine
Wonder why I gotta serve once I turn 18!
From a head full of hair, we gotta shave it all
Everytime strength training, kena medicine ball!
Suddenly introduced to my brand new WIFE
And I promise to protect her, WITH MY LIFE!
I train so hard for my SOC
But I forgot to train for my IPPT!
So my PC told me, WAH, you damn unlucky ah!
This week you have to stay back for RT!
Now I can't bookout, and I'm really damn sian
I'm just a RECRUIT, so I really BOBIAN!
So what's left to do is, to carry on going for 2 years of our life
Everyday we are growing from

Ah Boys To Men, serving two years
For our nation, our country
With blood, sweat and tears
We'll be, marching on with pride and glory
Because we love our land and want it to be free
STEADY LA~!

From Ah Boys To Men, serving two years
For our nation, our country
With blood, sweat and tears
We'll be, marching on with pride and glory
From BMT to POP to ORD
ORD LO~!

As a boy in Singapore, you gotta do your thing
Step up and serve the country, gotta do your thing
We no longer have time to lepak in town
Lagi worst, when we hear, WHOLE LOT KNOCK IT DOWN!
And it's sibei siong when we go OUTFIELD
Sergeants always say, nothing to do, HIGHKNEEL!
Training in the jungle is never easy
The weather so hot all of us feel dizzy
Marching around with a field pack on my back
Helmet, IPV, and a body full of sweat
That's why it feels good, when the cold wind blows
My friends and family, oh I miss you so
But please don't worry, I know I know
With an aching in my heart, where the river flows
Got my rifle and my buddy, I'm not alone
Can't wait to bookout, and GO BACK HOME!

From Ah Boys To Men, serving two years
For our nation, our country
With blood, sweat and tears
We'll be, marching on with pride and glory
Because we love our land and want it to be free
STEADY LA~!

From Ah Boys To Men, serving two years
For our nation, our country
With blood, sweat and tears
We'll be, marching on with pride and glory
From BMT to POP to ORD
ORD LO~!
